Day 1: Transfer to Gulu

​

Your tour guide / driver will pick you from the Hotel early morning at 7am and begin your journey to Gulu – Northern part of the country. Kidepo National Park located in the northeast of Uganda, borders Kenya to the east and South Sudan to the North thus far placed. The journey can be very exhausting to drive direct to the park, for that reason making it necessary to break the journey in Gulu and proceed the next day.

 

You will have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking Rhino to see some of the endangered Rhino species Enjoy your lunch then continue to Gulu town, arriving late in the afternoon.

Day 2: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

​

Following breakfast at the hotel, travel to Kidepo Valley National Park which is a 3hours’ drive.

The park has mainly two places for game drives that are; Narus Valley and Kidepo Valley.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive in the Narus Valley in anticipation of seeing herds of Zebras, Buffalos, Elephants, Giraffes, Hyenas, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Hippos, Lions and Cheetahs.

Proceed to the lodge and spend the evening at leisure admiring the wilderness.

Day 3: Game Drive in Kidepo Valley

​

On the third day of the 5 Days Kidepo Valley National Park tour, we shall have a Game Drive and a Cultural Walk.

Enjoy an early breakfast and set out for another rewarding game drive through the open savannah, rocky outcrops, forests and rings of mountains. Continue your game drive up to Kanangorok Hot Springs where you obtain stunning views in all directions enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners.

A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including the Ostrich and you may also see lions sitting on the rocks as they scan the park for possible prey.

Drive back to lodge to relax and later have lunch

In the afternoon, head out for a cultural experience that will bring you into contact with the Karamojong people at Karenna and Kapedo, this is truly a unique experience.

The Karamojong culture is still pure and totally unique from most other tribes in Uganda mainly because they have rejected civilization.

The Karamojong people are guardians of a vibrant and resilient culture. Their traditions, dating back centuries, reflect a harmonious blend of pastoral life, spirituality, and unwavering determination. You will have an experiential visit with them, see their homesteads and kraals where their cattle are kept.

Later transfer back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive and Transfer to Gulu

​

After breakfast, checkout of the lodge and go for your last game drive in this true wilderness. You can expect to increase your game count as everyday presents a different sight.

Transfer to Gulu, reaching in the afternoon, have lunch and spend rest of the day relaxing.

Dinner and overnight stay at Churchill Courts Hotel

Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala

​

After breakfast, proceed to Kampala with lunch en-route arriving late in the afternoon then transfer to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight or be dropped at your Hotel.
